If you think you’ve paid too much tax and you want to claim some of it back, you are entitled to pursue a tax rebate application.

A lot of people miss out on the money they are owed because they thinking claiming will be too complicated and time-consuming. However, if you use a professional tax rebate service to work out if you are eligible to make a claim and how much you may be entitled to, the process is incredibly easy.

Just follow these steps:

• Use an online tax rebate calculator tool to get a reasonable estimate of your tax rebate. Using the information from your P60 end of year statement of earnings form or your payslips, simply enter your annual earnings before tax and the amount you’ve paid in tax throughout the year.

• If the calculator comes up with a refund amount, you can then file your claim by filling in the relevant forms. Seek professional advice on how to proceed, and pass your claim on to be handled on a no-win, no-fee basis.

• Wait for your tax rebate to be paid into your bank account
