Perhaps one of the best things about tax rebates, apart from the fact that they obviously restore money to you that is rightfully yours, is the fact that they are usually generated in the form of a cheque.

If you bear in mind that the money you lose by being taxed incorrectly often taken place over a long period of time, it is clear that you only miss a small amount from your wages each month. Even quite significant mistakes are sometimes small enough or not suspicious enough for people to notice them immediately. This is how they are able to run on unchecked for so long.

However, when they are finally noted and then flagged up with the relevant authorities, these overpayments can be processed. When it is calculated how much you are owed you will have your tax code altered for the next tax year to account for losses and you will not be paid in dribs and drabs.

Instead, you will receive a cheque. Cheques generated for tax rebates to refund money from long-standing misapplied stoppages sometimes present you with a large lump sum that you can enjoy all at once.
