Not all careers are completely run of the mill. There are exciting ways to make your job more interesting, especially if you work in the sort of industry that allows you to travel and to seek out opportunities for yourself. However, you should always reserve a bit of thought for the more practical elements of seeking out these opportunities.

Some people get the opportunity to work abroad when they are on the path to career development. They seek new horizons and relish the opportunity to work with people of a different culture, learn a new language and generally get a new perspective on life by working abroad. From a practical point of view, you need to think about what this means to how you pay tax.

When you are working abroad your relationship with the HMRC back home changes. You need to keep up with this change and draw attention to it if you are charged tax on your earnings that you shouldn’t be getting charged. You should not let tax issues hamper your experience of working abroad and if problems do arise you should contact a claims agency.
