Tell the right people when you notice problems with your tax

Tax problems can be incredibly irritating. At first they may go unnoticed because you do not have the time to look at your pay slips in detail to make sure that they are right. Sometimes they go unnoticed because they are actually to do with periods of time you spent out of work, out of the country or in full time study and you haven’t caught up with all the administration related to those spells.

However, once you have noticed a problem, you must try hard to act on it. Just because you have noticed the issue does not mean that the powers of be have noticed it. Remember that you are dealing with one person’s paperwork, whereas the HMRC are dealing with the paperwork of the entire population!

You need to tell them so that they can look at your case right away. Better still, tell a tax rebate service so that they can take up the management of your claim, move things along nice and swiftly and secure you a tax rebate without all the associated hassle of speaking to the HMRC yourself.
