The unacceptability of being taxed too much (Part 2)

The previous post began looking at why people feel so affronted when they face issues with tax that they should not really be facing. The fact is that people appreciate the work that is done to make sure the tax system is fair, but they do not want to be on the receiving end of any mistakes that leave them with less money in their accounts than they should have.

This sort of indignation is perfectly acceptable and proper. However, it is no good just being indignant about the fact that you have been taxed too much, even if it has been going on for a while and when the sums are added up it appears you have missed out on rather a lot of money. The best thing to do is sort it out quickly.

The HMRC has clearly missed the error so it is time to look elsewhere. Tax claims agencies can figure things out for you very quickly and they are adept at securing tax refunds for people who have been affected in this way because of mistakes they are not responsible for.
