It is important to recognise that the taxation system in the UK is set up in order to make sure that everyone contributes a little something towards the running of the country and the key provisions provided by the start as long as they are earning. Some of the things used by the wider public that are paid for by public money include the health service and much of the transport infrastructure.

These are things that people who are earning a regular salary generally expect to contribute to. They recognise the bigger picture when it comes to taxation and they are prepared to pay what the HMRC dictates they should pay in order to maintain those services that we all use and we all recognise the need for.

It is vitally important that the taxation system continues to be as fair as it can possibly be and this is why people are given different tax codes according to how much they earn. There are also certain tax breaks that apply according to people’s personal and private circumstances. Being given an incorrect tax code represents a situation wherein the tax system has become unfair and this is something that needs to be addressed.
