Tax is something that is worked out very carefully. The aim of a good taxation system is to direct funds in the places and to make sure that people are never charged more than they can reasonably afford. This is why there are certain brackets that people fall into with relation to tax and there are also certain tax codes that people are given according to what is going in their lives that may have an effect on their finances.

If for any reason you are charged according to an emergency tax code then you will most likely be charged far more than you are supposed to be charged on your earnings. This emergency tax code could have been put in place for any of a number of reasons. The important thing is not to ignore it but to contact a claims agency straight away.

This is the simplest way to get a tax rebate sorted out quickly and to prevent their being any further issue with your earnings. The proper tax code ought to be put in place when the HMRC have looked at the matter properly.
