Try and see the positives in a tax claim situation

It is possible to make larger contributions to the tax system than you are supposed to make, although this is something you can only really do in error. The situation occurs when you are given a tax code that is incorrect or certain tax allowances are not applied to your case when they should be. The mistakes can vary in terms of their impact on your earnings.

The higher the overpayments you make in error, the more you are likely to lose out on from month to month. This situation is pretty unpleasant, especially if you do not notice immediately and you therefore miss out on funds every month for a particular spell of time. The longer the errors go unchallenged the more money is taken unfairly.

However, there is a positive side of things if you are willing to see it. The more money you have paid in error, the more you have coming your way in the form of a nice, big tax rebate once you do take action. They key is to make sure that not too much time elapses and you do get round to claiming tax back eventually.
