Claim for the cost of laundering a uniform

A great many people wear uniform when they go to work. Uniform is obviously a really good way of distinguishing members of staff but it does mean that people have a specific set of clothes that they have to maintain themselves. Sometimes employers will provide tokens and laundry services so that staff are not saddled with the burden of washing uniforms themselves, but other organisations do not provide such things.

If you work in a uniform but you don’t have access to any free service that enables you to wash that uniform then you can actually go through the tax system in order to claim back the cost of cleaning which over time can add up to quite a lot of money. All you need to do is speak to a claims agency.

There is nothing at all the matter with claiming for costs like these. At the end of the day, if you have to spend money on things that are necessary for work then you ought to be able to submit a claim. As long as you can prove that you have been washing your uniform in this manner you can also back date your claim.
