Tax rebates often take time because there are a number of stages that need to be sorted out. The first stage is obviously acting on your suspicions. When you think you might be owed something you need to take action. You can do this on your own or you can get some professional from a tax claims agency to make certain.

The next stage is to actually initiate correspondence with the Inland Revenue. Again, this is something that you might want your tax claims agency to take care of because of their experience and know-how when it comes to the right evidence to include in your application and the right wording of any complaints or requests.

The final stage is out of your hands. This stage involves an investigation by the Inland Revenue and it is often the stage that proves the most longwinded. The Inland Revenue deals with a great deal of complaints and requests so yours will enter a queue, but it will get the attention it deserves. If your claim proves justified then your tax rebate may be generated straight away and sent out.
